Partnering with Cardiff Metropolitan University to foster fresh creative talent

Design Group UK recently partnered with Cardiff Metropolitan University for an innovation project, inviting students to put their skills to use on a real-world design project. 

The project saw product design and textile design students tasked with a Christmas Cracker project, in which they were challenged to drive newness into the product category. 

As well as helping students gain vital industry knowledge by working with Design Group, the project also encouraged students to consider Design Group as a place to work once they graduate.

Cardiff Metropolitan University’s students met the project with creativity and enthusiasm, presenting new ideas that excited the Design Group product team.

These kinds of schemes with local universities help Design Group access the best new talent, helping to keep our studios at the forefront of creativity across the generations.
