Design Group Donates £88,000 to the Trussell Trust

As Christmas approaches, Design Group is pleased to share our recent £88,000 donation to the Trussell Trust, the UK’s largest network of food banks.

For the past four years, Design Group UK has partnered with the Trussell Trust through the sale of Tom Smith crackers and Christmas cards. For every item sold under the partnership, an amount is donated to the Trust.

This year, the amount raised through the sale of products in the partnership totalled £44,000. Design Group Plc has matched this amount, resulting in an £88,000 direct donation to the Trussell Trust to support their vital work.

The Trussell Trust supports over 1,200 food banks in the UK, providing food and support to individuals and families in crisis.

A cheque was presented to the Trust by Paul Wilkes and Karen Neal from Design Group’s Polaris division.

Reflecting on the donation, Stewart Gilliland, Interim Executive Chair said: “This is a fantastic donation to an important charity carrying out vital work.

“Design Group products help countless consumers make Christmas memories, so it’s right that the sale of products from our Trussell Trust partnership helps those most in need at this time of year.

“We’re proud of our partnership with the Trussell Trust, which has now raised more than £210,000 and continues to highlight their important mission.”
